MINNEAPOLIS - The search for a missing Minneapolis man continues after the dog he had been seen with was found on Friday.
Christopher Simondet, 30, has been missing since Sunday, when he went for a walk with his brother's dog, a Renaissance bulldog named Diesel.
Diesel was found on Friday after Christopher's friends saw the news. They had been watching Diesel since Wednesday. The Minneapolis Police Department and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had asked for help on Thursday in location the pair.
Minneapolis police say Simondet and Diesel had been spotted several times in the past week. Simondet's last known location was found via a cell phone ping in the area of Lake Street and Hiawatha. Search efforts are focused there as well as locations near Hopkins.
Family members say Christopher has bipolar disorder and they believe he's been off his medication for at least one week.
Simondet is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 180 pounds with brown curly hair and brown eyes. If you see Christopher, you are asked to call 911.
