GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - You better get ready to hunker down, because this winter will bring bitter cold and heavy snow across most of the U.S., including Minnesota.
The frosty prediction comes courtesy of The 2014 Old Farmer's Almanac, which was released on Tuesday, September 10.
The Dublin, N.H. based periodical is believed to be the oldest continuously published in North America at 222 years. It predicts a drop in solar activity and a change in ocean patterns point to colder-than-average temperatures and higher-than-average snowfall totals.
Farmer's Almanac Editor Tim Clark visited KARE 11 Sunrise with more on the predictions.
