GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Do you have a student that's sorting through the college admission maze? With the national average tuition of $22-thousand dollars a year and many institutions of higher education are double that, it's enough to get very discouraged.

Jane Nordhorn, director of recruitment of St. Catherine University, joined KARE 11 News @4 to give parents and students some help, hope, and talk about trends.

Nordhorn says some of the trends are:

-students are staying closer to home.

-students are much more job oriented than in the past 5 years.

If you'd like more answers, head to St. Catherine's admission information page.
