Events surrounding Super Bowl 52 have begun. Here's what you need to know.

MINNEAPOLIS - Here we go. Super Bowl 52 is officially underway.

Each day, KARE 11 will highlight five events going on around the festivities, with links to all of our Super Bowl coverage as well as a full calendar of events.

Here's what you need to know for Tuesday, Jan. 30:

Special Olympics Unified Flag Football game -- 2 to 3 p.m.:

The NFL and Special Olympics Minnesota are hosting a flag football game at Super Bowl Live at 8th and Nicollet.

Polar Plunge at Super Bowl Live by Verizon -- 4 to 7 p.m.:

Participants will plunge into an icy pool in downtown Minneapolis to support Special Olympics. KARE 11's own Eric Perkins will take the plunge at 4:15 p.m. The pool is located at Ice Mountain Stage at Nicollet Mall & 8th Street S.

Concerts at Super Bowl Live -- 7 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:30 p.m.

Caribbean and reggae music fill the Bold North on stage with Socaholix, International Reggae All-Stars, and Ipso Facto.

Frozen Family Fun Night at St. Paul Winter Carnival -- 4 to 9 p.m.

Across the river in St. Paul the Winter Carnival is going strong. Bring the kids to Rice Park to explore ice carvings, live performances, ice skate at Wells Fargo WinterSkate and grab a bite to eat at one of the visiting food trucks.

"Not Done Network" for Patriot's fans -- 24 hours

The Patriots will be hosting their "Not Done Network" at MOA--a 24-hour video stream from Minnesota. It launched on Monday but will be in full swing on Tuesday at Mall of America. The studio is located on Level 3, North across from Chick-Fil-A and will serve as a destination for Patriots fans.
