GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - At this time of year, we scramble to find the gifts the children in our family want, searching for this year’s “must-have” toys and the latest high-tech gadgets.

Of course, it’s fun to give that perfect gift that puts a smile on your child’s face. But, it’s even more important to keep in mind the less tangible gifts we can give to children of any age, gifts that last a lifetime.

Developmental psychologist Dr. Marti Erickson, host of the weekly podcast “Mom Enough," appeared on KARE 11 to discuss what she calls the most important gifts, the three C’s.

“Mom Enough” has a free downloadable handout detailing the three C’s at every age of a child’s life, from infancy through the teen years.
