A new approach for United Airlines and pets inside planes
The company says it will issue brightly colored bag tags to customers traveling with their pets inside the cabin next month. The new visual measure is to help flight attendants further identify those pets. This all comes after a dog passed away on a recent United Airlines flight. According to the U.S. Department Of Transportation, 24 animals died during air travel last year.
The president of Florida International University says there is 'uncontrollable sadness' after a deadly bridge collapse there. A local fire chief says at least six people died and nine others were injured when the pedestrian bridge came down onto a busy road. The bridge was under construction. There's no word yet on what brought it down.
