GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Award-Winning Chef, Restaurateur & Author Chef Marcus Samuelsson is shining the spotlight on the food and hustle of Harlem in his new cookbook Red Rooster Harlem.

The Ethiopian born Swedish raised chef joined the KARE 11 News at 4 to discuss the inspiration for the book. When Samuelson opened his Red Rooster restaurant on Harlem's Lenox Avenue, he had more than great food on his mind. He wanted to create a gathering place for people of all walks of life to meet and mingle.
