GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - One of the best, and for some, worst, things about the holidays is the music! Unfortunately, those merry melodies can turn monotonous, especially when one gets stuck in your head. This oh-so-common occurrence is known as an “earworm”, and a recent study is shining light on why it happens.

Dr. Jesse Corry, a neurologist with Allina Health, stopped by KARE 11 at 4 to explain what makes some songs catchier than others, why earworms might actually be useful, and what we can do to get them to go away.
