GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Looking for a way to help the less fortunate in our community this Thanksgiving day?
Lace up your shoes and head to Mall of America for The Walk to End Hunger. The event is a family-friendly fun walk presented by The Mosaic Company.
The Walk to End Hunger goes from 7-10 a.m. Thanksgiving morning in the Mall of America and features music, face painting, speed volunteering and other family-friendly activities. It is a great way to start your holiday off right, giving back before you give thanks.

Funds raised from this walk will support 12 area hunger relief agencies including Meals on Wheels - joining for this segment.
Head Chef Michelle joined us to prepare a dish and share a recipe from the New Meals on Wheels Kitchen of Opportunities, which last week served its 100,000th meal since opening in March!
Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe
8 pieces 3-4 ounce boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup flour
1 cup egg wash or 4 eggs whisked with a few tablespoons of water
2 cups toasted panko bread crumbs
2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons flour
2 Tablespoons butter
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup diced ham
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt to taste
Method: coat chicken breasts first in flour, then in egg wash and finally into bread crumbs. Place onto a baking sheet and cook until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
While chicken is baking melt butter in a sauce pan. Add flour and over medium low heat stirring constantly cook for 5 minutes or until the flour begins to brown. Warm milk in microwave or another sauce pan. Whisk warm milk into flour butter mixture a little at a time stirring constantly to incorporate. Once all milk is added bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes minding to scrape bottom of pan often to prevent burning. Whisk in onion and garlic powder.
While sauce is still hot stir in Swiss cheese until melted. Add ham. Adjust salt to taste.
Pour sauce over breaded chicken and serve.
