GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Many Minnesotans love brats and the chance to fire up the grill.

Gerhard Riautschnig came by the KARE kitchen to showcase two varieties of his Gerhard's Brats: the original as well as their best-selling "Käsewurst," a bratwurst with Emmenthaler cheese. Gerhard serves his brats in a traditional European way: with a good crusty roll on the side, cooked sauerkraut, and traditional mustards and garnish.

The brats are locally-made using an authentic family recipe from Austria. The pork is organically raised family farm pork, and the basic brat recipe has four ingredients: pork, salt, pepper, and garlic.
