Mixologist recipes for spirits on Thanksgiving

A mixologist serves up several fall-inspired cocktails to complement the Thanksgiving feast.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A lot of time goes into planning the perfect Thanksgiving meal, but a delicious turkey or casserole isn’t the only way to impress your guests this year.

Mixologist Jason Spencer with The Exchange and Alibi Lounge in downtown Minneapolis shows us how to make fall-inspired cocktails that will wow your guests and complement your meal this Thanksgiving.

DRINK RECIPES:

•The Exchange Mule
1 1/4oz Lake Superior Vodka
1/4 fresh squeezed lime juice
Topped with ginger beer
Splash of cranberry juice
Garnished with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig

•Giggle Water
1 1/4 oz Spiked Apple Spirit
1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
Topped with Champagne
Garnished with a lemon twist

•Hennepin Ave Old Fashioned
2 muddled cherries
2 oz Alander Rum
1/4 oz locally-made maple syrup
Dash of orange bitters
Strained over a cherry and orange peel ice cube
Topped with club soda
