MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Maple Grove.

Police say they were responding to a 911 hang-up call in the 9600-block of Trenton Lane North shortly after 2 Wednesday afternoon.

Maple Grove Police say officers were confronted with a person in the house armed with a knife. During the confrontation, police say one officer shot the person. The shooting victim was taken to North Memorial Hospital where they are listed in critical condition.

KARE 11 spoke with one neighbor who says the area is pretty quiet for the most part, "but if there was an issue, it'd be from that house."
