One dead after fatal fire in Long Lake

According to the fire chief, two people were able to escape the Sunday night fire that left an adult man dead.

LONG LAKE, Minn. — One person is dead after a three-alarm fire destroyed a home in Long Lake Sunday night. 

According to the Long Lake Fire Chief, the call came in around 11:00 p.m. Sunday night for a home in the 1100 block Willow Drive North in Long Lake. The house was reported to be fully involved in fire. 

Three people were in the home. Two were able to escape the blaze and tell fire crews about a third person, believed to be on the second floor of the home. 

Crews made their way inside, and found the body of a deceased adult male on the second floor according to the fire chief. 

The investigation is ongoing.
