MINNEAPOLIS - Police are investigating yet another homicide after a man was found behind the wheel of a vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound early Monday morning.

Officers were initially called to investigate a van that had crashed into a tree and fire hydrant near 32nd Street West and Blaisdell Avenue South around 1:30 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the driver had a gunshot wound. Paramedics who arrived on the scene pronounced the man dead.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Investigators say the van involved in the crash had been reported stolen in Brooklyn Park several days earlier.

Police are speaking to people living in the area and looking for witnesses to the shooting.

That wasn't the only shooting keeping squads engaged on a busy night in Minneapolis. Fourth precinct officers responded to reports of a person shot on the 3500 block of Bryant Avenue North just before 11:30 p.m..
When squads arrived they located an adult male who had been shot. The victim was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital by paramedics where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

While officers were processing the scene a second adult male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound showed up at North Memorial. Investigators soon tied that man to the Bryant Avenue shooting as well.

No arrests have been made in the incident. Investigators are actively looking for witnesses to help in identifying a suspect or suspects.
