WAITE PARK, Minn. - Investigators in Waite Park are looking for suspects in an armed home invasion and robbery of a business late Wednesday.

Squads responded to the 1500 block of Stearns County Road 137 just before 11:45 p.m. on an alarm call. When officers arrived at the address they found a side door to the business had been forced open. Additional officers were summoned to set up a perimeter around the scene.

Police soon noticed that the door to an adjoining home had also been forced open. Two residents still on the scene said two men broke into their house, one holding them at gunpoint while the other ransacked the place, stealing jewelry, cash and merchandise. Eventually the crook forced his way into the business, setting off the alarm.

The suspects fled the scene and left the victims unharmed.

Witnesses describe the suspects as a stocky man about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches, 250 lbs, and a second man that was 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the crime is asked to call Waite Park Police at 320-251-3281, or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 800-255-1301. A reward of up to $1,000 could be offered.
