MINNEAPOLIS - A report of shots fired on the near north side of Minneapolis Tuesday night led police to the body of a woman laying dead in the street.

A number of 911 calls and an alert from shot spotter technology sent squads to the 1800 block of Lyndale Avenue North shortly before 10 p.m., but officers were unable to locate a victim.
