MINNEAPOLIS -- Everything must go at Nye's Polonaise Room.

The landmark bar and restaurant in Northeast Minneapolis closed earlier this month. Now, hundreds of items from Nye's are up for bid through an online auction.

Auction Masters based in Osseo is featuring the items for sale on its website, here.

"We've never had an auction with this much interest," said Greg Christian, co-owner of Auction Masters.

The online auction features bar stools, booths, light fixtures, signage, hundreds of items with the Nye's logo on it and more.

"I think one of the items that people are really going to go for are the goofy lighting fixtures. They're so unique. I've never seen them and so I think that will be a hot item," Christian said.

The Elvis booth is currently going for $500. The famous piano bar shell also has a current bid of $500.

"So here we go. The sky's the limit," Christian said.

Bidders have the chance to snag items original to the bar--dating back to 1950. Signage has already proved to be popular. One sign from its send-off parties is up to $200. Framed news articles are also featured on the website.

"This auction is going to be a good one," Christian said.

The online auction starts closing at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 18; the close will be staggered.

Inspection dates are April 16 from noon to 4 p.m. and April 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick up and payment will take place April 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
