Bloomington couple finds hope amid medical struggles

Jill Mullin suffered a brain aneurysm last September. She was 37 weeks pregnant at the time.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — An inspiring husband and wife in Bloomington each survived a brain tumor - but that’s only half their story.

The other half started last September, when Jill Mullin suffered a brain aneurysm.

She was 37 weeks pregnant at the time.

Doctors performed an emergency C-section to save the baby.

But with her surgeries and medication, she didn’t know he made it until a month later.

“She was all worried saying, 'Well, what about our baby, we lost our baby,'" Brian Mullin said. "Still kind of confused.”

For five months Brian took care of their two boys while holding down a job and managing his wife’s medical care.

He even remembered to get the newborn pictures she wanted.

The family was reunited this Tuesday when Jill was finally sent home.

The couple is now cherishing the little moments that make life worth living.

"Slow down and appreciate and don't just speed through life," Brian said.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Mullins.
