BRAINERD, Minn. - Customers of Brainerd Public Utilities (BPU) are being warned to boil their water until test results come back.

The utility warned residents in and around Brainerd that it experienced a drop in water pressure Sunday, and that water customers should boil all water used for drinking and cooking until further notice.

Tests are being run by the MN Department of Health and when results come in, perhaps Monday night, residents will either be given the all-clear, or be told that the boil order continues.

BPU is also in the midst of flushing water mains in various areas of the city. Residents may notice a discoloration in the water from their taps, and are urged to run the water for several minutes to clear it up.
