'Winter Games Fitness Challenge' combines the Olympics and exercise

Most are taking in the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang while vegging on the couch, but UCare says you don't have to just sit and watch.

If you're like millions of Americans you can't get enough of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

Most are taking in the international spectacle while vegging on the couch, but you don't have to just sit and watch.

UCare created the 'Winter Games Fitness Challenge', an opportunity for you to get a workout in while ... you cheer on Team USA! The challenge includes exercises you can do with no equipment, triggered by calls from the announcers, moments in the competition or medal ceremonies.

Experts say fitness is the key to overall health, strength and happiness. Nicole Lier, UCare’s Health Promotion Manager, appeared on KARE 11 to issue the fun fitness challenge, which she created. The exercises include everything from squats to jumping jacks to heel lifts and clapping. It’s fun for all ages and it’s FREE to participate.

People are also encouraged to share their best moves on UCare’s Facebook page.
