MINNEAPOLIS - A 26-year-old inmate at the Hennepin County Jail has died, apparently from suicide, according to authorities.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said the inmate was found unresponsive during routine cell checks at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Deputies immediately began CPR, according to the sheriff's office release.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at about 12:10 p.m.
The sheriff's office says the man had been in jail since the evening of May 30, after being arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Wisconsin.
The name and official cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
