KARE photojournalist Chad Nelson won two top national honors in what the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) called an "unprecedented sweep."

Nelson won both Photographer of the Year and Editor of the Year at the 2017 ceremony in Salt Lake City on June 2. He also took home the Regional Photographer of the Year prize.

KARE photojournalist Kevin Sullivan was runner-up for Photographer of the Year, and KARE was runner-up for Station of the Year.

Photojournalist Rob Collett and reporters Boyd Huppert and Lindsey Seavert were also finalists in their categories.
