ST. MICHAEL, Minn. - One person is dead after a morning rush hour crash in St. Michael Monday.

The State Patrol website says it happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 241 near the intersection with Oday Avenue. A Ford pickup truck was northbound on 241 when it struck a Toyota Camry that was turning left onto Oday Avenue from the southbound lanes. The pickup hit the sedan broadside, killing one of two people inside.

The names of the victims have not yet been released. The driver of the pickup, a 54-year-old man from Buffalo, was not injured. State Patrol investigators are continuing to reconstruct the crash.

Highway 241, a busy road that feeds Interstate 94, was closed for hours.
