WINONA, Minn. -- All eyes may have been on the homecoming game in Winona on Saturday, but behind the scenes, attention was focused on squarely on finding a missing Winona State University Student.

It has been more that a week since 19-year-old Chukwudi Onyeaghala was last seen.

Onyeaghala was captured on video walking east on Marks Street, near the Winona State University library at 9:51 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7. Since then, attempts to contact him over the phone or through his social media accounts have been unsuccessful.

Onyeaghala's father says his son wrestled in high school and could easily defend himself. "He's a very good guy, a very good wrestler. I'm surprised this is happening to him," he said.

Divers have been searching the Mississippi River as well as shorelines for any trace of Onyeaghala.

Anyone with information on Onyeaghala's whereabouts is asked to call the Winona County Law Enforcement Center at 507-457-6492.
