"Lights were on. We heard a loud bang. We didn't know if it was just them breaking down the door or not," said Joshua Sweezo, who was visiting a friend in the apartment complex across the street. "Then we heard the officers say, 'Get down on the floor, everybody on the floor,' and then a young lady yelled, 'This is my apartment. I live here.' And then that was all we heard."

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency on the investigation.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex affiliated with "Perspectives," a community organization in St. Louis Park that assists women and children from homeless shelters. The president of the organization told KARE 11 they have a close relationship with St. Louis Park Police but will not release a statement until a full report is made public.
