Menomonie police warn stabbing suspect may be in Minnesota

Officers are looking for David W. Hill after he allegedly stabbed a man in the throat during a fight.

MENOMONIE, Wis. -- A man accused of stabbing someone in Menomonie, Wis. could be in Minnesota, according to police.

Just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the Menomonie Police Department responded to the 2500 block of Harvey Drive in Menomonie for a report of a man stabbing another man in the throat during a fight.

The suspect was identified as 37-year-old David W. Hill. Witnesses told officers Hill ran from the scene before police arrived.

He was last seen wearing a jean jacket, blue jeans, gold-rimmed glasses and carrying a red Nike bag. He is a black man who is around 5'8" and 195 lbs.

Officers are still looking for Hill and believe he's heading back to Minnesota.

The stabbing victim is being treated at a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
