ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minnesotans are getting a chance to purchase a piece of the state Senate.

More specifically, they can buy a piece of furniture.

The Minnesota Senate is auctioning off some extra furniture used by senators and staff over the past few decades. The items up for sale include desks, chairs, bookcases, tables and other pieces from the State Capitol and State Office Building.

The auction is taking place online, and is open for online viewing Monday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If anyone wants to look at the items in person, they can do so Wednesday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 321 Grove Street, St. Paul.

The official online auction will take place Wednesday, May 17, at 6 p.m.
