LOS ANGELES - Minnesota's contestant on The Voice, Jesse Larson, checked in with KARE 11 live from LA on Tuesday.

Larson said Tuesdays are always his least favorite day of the week as he waits to find out if he advances to the next round.

"I love the process, I love what we're doing out here, but Tuesdays get a little heavy for me," he said. "I'm kind of an anxious person, so on Tuesdays that anxiety level gets a little up there. But you know, this is what I do for a living. I'm a musician, I'm an artist, and in these moments you just have to keep pushing."

On Monday night, Larson performed the song "Human," a 2017 release from Rag'n'Bone Man. Unlike most nights, this time Larson sang without accompanying himself on guitar.

"I think I pushed myself further than I ever imagined," he said. "Even though it was a pop song, and a very current pop song, for me, which was very far outside of my element, I think in the moment I gave it everything I had. I think it was close enough to what I do ... that I think my personality and what I do, I think was seen through that."

Larson said a couple of things have surprised him throughout his experience on the show.

"The most surprising thing, first of all I think, was that I actually pushed myself to try out for The Voice," he said. "And I never in my wildest dreams imagined to get this far and to have so much support and love from home."

Larson said that support means the world to him -- and it turns out, it also means that he'll stay another round. Larson made it to The Voice Top 10 on Tuesday evening.
