MINNEAPOLIS - Public school students in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Anoka-Hennepin Schools are getting a snow day in April.

Minneapolis Public Schools, St. Paul Public Schools and Anoka-Hennepin Schools announced Sunday evening that all their schools will be closed Monday.

Activities and events will also be canceled.

Both Minneapolis and St. Paul had also declared snow emergencies because of the big storm.

For those traveling by air, hundreds of flights have been canceled at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, where over a foot of snow has fallen.

Meanwhile, move over 1983, this has become our snowiest April on record.
