MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis Police say a 21-year-old man who was shot in the head late last week has died of his injuries.

Police were called to the 2500 block of Penn Avenue North just before 7 p.m. Friday, on a report of a male lying in a parking lot with blood on the ground.

Police discovered him with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital where he was in critical condition. Police say the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office told them the man has died. His name has not been released.
