ROSEVILLE, Minn. - Police in Roseville are asking for the public's help identifying a suspected armed burglar.

Police say the man broke into a duplex on the 1400 block of Woodbridge Street on Friday morning. While the homeowner was out, police say she received a smartphone alert of an intruder from her home's security system at 10:18 a.m.

The woman showed police digital imaging of the suspect moving about the home. Police say he was armed with a handgun as he stole items and put them in his backpack.

The suspect is described as a black man with a goatee and a mustache, wearing a Nike T-shirt, dark pants, a backpack and a reflective safety vest. Police say the suspect has a thin, muscular build and appears to be in his mid-20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call Minnesota Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or text 274637 (CRIMES) with "Tips674" and then the information.

A reward may be offered for information that leads to an arrest.
