NODINE, Minn. - First responders are on the scene of a fatal crash involving two semi trucks near Nodine.

The Winona County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened early Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 90 near Nodine.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports two semi trucks collided head-on, sending both trucks into the north ditch, where they went up in flames.

Troopers say they believe both drivers died on impact. The drivers were a 37-year-old man from Roseville and a 47-year-old man from Glenville. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.

MnDOT reports I-90 is closed in both directions while law enforcement investigates and clears the scene. MnDOT anticipates the interstate being closed until late Tuesday night. Traffic is being redirected onto Highway 61.
