MINNEAPOLIS - Starkey Hearing Technologies is cutting ties with the National Rifle Association.

The Eden Prairie-based company joined a growing number of companies breaking ties with the NRA.

Two of the world's largest airlines, United and Delta, recently cut ties with the NRA as part of a movement after the school shooting massacre in Parkland, Fla. on Feb. 14.

Other companies that have abandoned the NRA include the global insurance company MetLife, car rental giants Avis, Enterprise and Hertz, the Best Western hotel chain, and more than a dozen other corporations that had ties with the NRA.
