ANDOVER, Minn. - The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says they're searching for a driver after a 17-year-old was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Andover.
Just before 6:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 700 block of 141st Ave. on the report of a juvenile male down in the street, according to a Anoka County Sheriff's Office news release.
Deputies say the 17-year-old victim from the nearby town of Nowthen.
Authorities have not identified him.
The victim's friends say they heard a "dull collision sound" and screeching tires, but they did not see the vehicle.
KARE 11's Dylan Wohlenhaus says the location of the crash is in a fairly well lit neighborhood in Andover.
Officials are asking anyone with information to come forward.
