GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - It's safe to say the U.S. Men's Curling Team is taking the nation by storm.
John Shuster, John Landsteiner, Tyler George, Matt Hamilton and Joe Polo will be making the media rounds following their gold medal victory over Sweden in the Winter Olympics.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, USA Curling said Team Shuster will be ringing the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday morning, appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, followed by an appearance on The TODAY Show Saturday morning. On Saturday night, the team will drop the puck for the NHL Stadium Series game in Annapolis, Maryland featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals (on KARE 11).
The team will be doing several other photo shoots and interviews as well.
"Curling is taking the country by storm thanks to the great efforts of Team Shuster, Team Roth and Team HamFam! We hope your clubs are growing stronger," the post reads.
Shuster is a Duluth native and now lives in Superior, Wis. Landsteiner is a native of Mapleton and now lives in Duluth. George was raised and now resides in Duluth. Polo is a native of Duluth and now lives in Cass Lake. Hamilton is a native of McFarland, Wis. and now lives in Madison, Wis.
On Monday, about 100 people gathered at the Duluth Airport to welcome home the curlers from PyeongChang. On Tuesday, several hundred more people gathered in the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center to congratulate the team on its accomplishment.
