MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Vikings kick off their season in St. Louis, but then face the Patriots, Saints, Falcons and Packers.

The team's first home game at TCF Bank Stadium will be against the New England Patriots.

The Vikings have only one scheduled prime-time game this season, a Thursday matchup at rival Green Bay Oct. 2.

Following their Week 10 bye, the Vikings go to Chicago for a Week 11 division contest against the Bears. The Vikings are looking for their first road win over Chicago since 2007, according to the Vikings written news release .

The Vikings will host three consecutive home games when they play Green Bay, Carolina and the New York Jets in Week 12, 13 and 14.

Four of the last six games are at home, raising the possibility of wintry weather.

The Vikings will end their first season at the University of Minnesota with a home battle against Chicago. The contest will be a rematch of the first NFL game played at TCF Bank Stadium following the collapse of the Metrodome roof in 2010, according the news release.

All 16 opponents for 2014 were previously determined by the NFL's formula, but the league unveiled the specific dates and times Wednesday night.
