MINNEAPOLIS - The Walker Art Center celebrated the reopening of its Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on Saturday.
The sculpture garden has been fully reconstructed, and in addition to adding new works of art, it's placed old ones in new settings.
The famous Spoonbridge and Cherry remains at the center. One of the most noticeable new additions is the giant blue rooster, which garnered a lot of attention Saturday.
The reopening celebration took place all day, with activities for kids, music, art, and guided tours.
The reopening was first scheduled for June 3, but was postponed in the wake of the public backlash over the "Scaffold" sculpture.
KARE photojournalist Tom Wiltgen captured the festivities on Saturday.
