CHASKA, Minn. - The final day of the Ryder Cup started with fans running into the course, trying to get the best spots possible as the sun rose.

A few hours later, a mob of people formed outside of the PGA merchandise tent as fans did last-minute shopping.

Many Americans were wearing red to overshadow their European counterparts and support the U.S. team.

Europeans were confident until nearly the end, confident the Ryder Cup with stay with their team.

"Confidence. I think we don't play with any fear and I think as a team the Euroopeans are more of a team than the USA team," said Wayne Kenward, of England.

Americans said this is their year to take the Ryder Cup back, on their home turf, and the team came through.

"We got some experience at the leadership level," said Ryan Ruffcorn, of Iowa.
