More than 2,500 athletes compete at Special Olympics Minnesota

Summer Games is one of the largest Special Olympics competitions.

ST PAUL, Minn — Special Olympics Minnesota hosted the Special Olympics Summer Games at the University of St. Thomas.  More than 2,500 athletes from throughout the Minnesota competed in track and field, swimming and basketball.  The Summer Games is one of the largest Special Olympics competitions and immerses athletes in non-stop activity that includes dorm life, a “Victory Village” activity center, social events, concerts and celebration ceremonies for all participants.  Hear how important this event is to the community and how they continue to grow the special Olympics brand.
