MINNEAPOLIS - With only 52 days to go until Super Bowl 52 kicks off in Minneapolis, organizers have unveiled the latest adventures related to the signature event.
“To be this close to some of these artists that are coming in, it’s amazing,” said Jack Murphy, President of Nomadic Entertainment Group.
Nomadic Live! has produced three nights of entertainment at the historic Armory in downtown Minneapolis prior to the Super Bowl, including performances by Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez and PINK. Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan platform is being used to sell the PINK concert tickets, with fan registration beginning on Thursday, Dec. 14 and Verified Fan on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Meantime, the venue itself has undergone a massive transformation in the last two years: from floor to upper mezzanines.
“It was nowhere near what you’re looking at now. It was a parking garage with two levels down below,” Murphy said, adding, “It’s an intimate environment that we created. And we want to make sure that we can bring big shows but not have a big show put into a small box.”
Also on Thursday, the Super Bowl host committee unveiled plans for a zipline that spans 750 feet across the Mississippi River and will run for 10 days leading up to and including game day.
“Our goal with Super Bowl 52 was to showcase everything wonderful about Minnesota,” said Maureen Bausch, CEO for the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee.
The Bold North Zipline is sponsored by XOOX, a lifestyle backpack brand founded by former Minnesota Vikings player Robert Griffith.
