ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hungry for some football food in Minnesota's capital city? Our friends at Visit Saint Paul helped us break down the best places to grab some grub ahead of the big game.

Payne Avenue

Our journey begins on Payne Avenue, recently dubbed Eat Street. Brunson’s Pub offers a variety of diverse menu items designed to reflect the Payne-Phalen neighborhood’s rich immigrant history.

Cook St. Paul offers an incredible mix of American and Korean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's also frequently touted by critics as one of the top restaurants in the Twin Cities.

Ward 6 is the neighborhood East Side bar and restaurant focused on local food and local beer in a vintage setting.

The best sellers at Judy’s Kitchen are the wings, collard greens, ribs and bacon mac and cheese.

If you’re a fan of homestyle fried chicken and good ol’ country fried steak, be sure to check out Magnolias, which has been serving up comfort food on Payne Avenue St. since 1984.

Hamburguesas El Gordo says it has the best burgers and tacos in the Twin Cities. It's hard to argue that claim.

Lowertown

Find your stomach growling after enjoying the snow slide at CHS Field? Grab a cheeseburger at Saint Dinette. Executive Chef Adam Eaton was a semi-finalist for Eater’s 2017 “Young Guns”.

Handsome Hog defines itself as “pig-centric contemporary Southern."

West 7th Street

It's going to be a happening place Super Bowl week with the Wild hosting Las Vegas Feb. 2 and the NFL Honors ceremony Feb. 3, both at the Xcel Energy Center. Here are some well-known spots to eat and be merry.

Mancini's Char House is a West 7th icon that's been char broiling delectable steaks and lobsters using family traditions since the 1960s.

Cathedral Hill

Named for Cathedral Hill’s most iconic resident, Fitzgerald’s embodies the character of the establishments F. Scott frequented as a youth.

From borscht to brunch to in-house vodka, Moscow on the Hill has everything you need for the ultimate Russian dining experience.

Golden Thyme is well-known for hearty soul food like shrimp and grits and gumbo.

Pair one of 89 beers with a fresh, locally sourced entree at the gastropub, Happy Gnome.

Revival’s Saint Paul location put the Midwest on the barbecue map when Andrew Zimmern named it one of the Top 10 BBQ joints in America. Unlike its Minneapolis location, the Cathedral Hill spot offers up delicious smoked meats like pork belly and dry rubbed ribs.

University Avenue

Big Daddy's Old Fashioned Barbeque serves Southern-style BBQ meats and sides in a casual, relaxing space. You can also get a meat fix at Hickory Hut. Order the wings and hojo potatoes!

In the mood for Chinese? Order the all you can eat hot pot at Little Szechuan.

Caffe Biaggio offers homemade pasta, riscotto, and other Italian mains served in a rustic-industrial trattoria.
