Minnesota United FC ready to hit the pitch for home opener

The Loons host the Chicago Fire Saturday, March 17 at TCF Bank Stadium.

MINNEAPOLIS -- After some time on the road, Minnesota United FC is back in the Twin Cities for the team's home opener.

The Loons host the Chicago Fire Saturday, March 17 at TCF Bank Stadium.

Minnesota United FC defender Brent Kallman told KARE 11's Bryan Piatt the team is ready to get back in front of home fans.

"The guys are all super excited, we've been on the road a lot the last couple of months," Kallman said.

Minnesota has already played two matches on the road. They're 1-1 on the season, coming off a win against Orlando City SC.
