MINNEAPOLIS - Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has taken the lead in All-Star balloting among American League third baseman.

Sano has hit 14 home runs so far this season, and leads the Twins in that statistic, as well as batting average (.306) and RBI (43).

According to Major League Baseball's latest vote tally as of June 6th, Sano has 638,952 votes, ahead of second-place Jose Ramirez of Cleveland, who has 541,040 votes. Baltimore's Manny Machado, Toronto's Josh Donaldson, and Houston's Alex Bregman also rank in the top five among A.L. third baseman.

Fans can continue to vote using the online MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, June 29, at 11:59pm Eastern.

The 88th MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 11, at Marlins Park in Miami.
