NISSWA, Minn. - Hail at least the size of a baseball fell in parts of north-central Minnesota Sunday.

Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued Sunday afternoon as a line of storms first popped up in the Brainerd area. They quickly moved east packing high winds and large hail. There were a handful of radar-indicated tornadoes, and one confirmed tornado touchdown around 6:30 p.m. eight miles north of Staples.

Hail three inches in diameter fell in Nisswa. Pequot Lakes had 2.5" hail while hail smaller in size fell in areas nearby. As of Sunday night, there are minimal reports of storm damage. Several KARE 11 viewers shared their photos and videos via social media using #KARE11weather.
