Pat's gentle touch, dependability, and quiet way are just some of the reasons the Time for Tots Preschool in the Phillips Neighborhood is so successful. Time for Tots is a unique effort of two churches, Oliver Presbyterian and Hope Presbyterian. Pat has been volunteering for the preschool for the past two decades.
"Each day is a gift and should be lived to its fullest."
As part of her responsibilities at Time for Tots, Pat shops for food, prepares the menus and make sure the children get enough to eat. She also helps with the crafts and supervises the children during their free time.
When she's not volunteering at Time for Tots, you can find Pat in her garden, traveling, reading or playing with her seven grandchildren.
Pat's advice for others who are considering some volunteer work: "You don't know if you can do something until you try it. Take a leap of faith once in a while."
