The people who work with Dick are glad he doesn't act his age. He's just one month shy of turning 92 years old.

Dick retired from the rat-race back in 1972. In 1994, he lost his wife of 60 years. A neighbor advised Dick to check out the Longfellow/Seward Healthy Senior program as a way to keep busy. He's been an active volunteer ever since.

Nowadays you'll find Dick mowing lawns, shoveling snow, visiting shut-ins, and even taking other people to their medical appointments. In addition to the Healthy Seniors program, Dick also volunteers for Meals-On-Wheels --- something he's done for the past 15 years. In his spare time you'll find him doing yard work at his "shack" on a lake west of Annandale.

Dick's motto: "Retired people in rocking chairs don't live long. Keep busy. Find something to do!"
