GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Each month on KARE 11, we introduce you to some of the outstanding volunteers in our community.
Today, we want you to meet a Twin Cities woman who works 35 to 40 hours a week - at a job that doesn't pay a dime.
She says her reward comes from helping people in need.
Ronda Oliver started Reach & Restore, Inc. in her garage in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It now inhabits a 6,500 square foot warehouse and is full of items that families need to help get them back on their feet.
Last year, Reach & Restore helped almost 500 people, giving away 5,000 pieces of clothing. More than 400 families received furniture from the organization in 2011.
