Goliath Challenge 5K Race benefit for Feed My Starving Children

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn--Goliath Challenge returns for a third year and has added a kids 2.5K to the racing options. All proceeds for the event are donated to Feed My Starving Children. To date, $41,000 has been raised and donated to Feed My Starving Children.

Who: Trinity Lutheran Church of Hudson is sponsoring this event that will feature both adult and kid's race routes.

Where: Badlands Snow Park -- 772 Kinney Rd, Hudson, WI 54016 (715) 386-1856

When: May 31 - Racers will start in multiple waves throughout the day beginning at 8:00 am with prizes for top finishers.

What: 5K obstacle course open to racers 12+2.5K obstacle course open to racers 8-14

Live bands, FMSC "Market Place" handmade gifts (scarves/jewelry/baskets/coffee), inflatables, hay rides, and concessions will add to the family friendly atmosphere of the day.

Why: Last year's race raised $24,000 for Feed My Starving Children which equals 109,090 meals. Race organizers are hoping this year's race can raise enough funds for 170,000 meals.

Event organizer Mary Kretschmer remarked, "Obstacles, mud, dirt, water...pure family friendly fun with a healthy challenge! And all for a great cause!"

Registration for the race is open and the committee is seeking volunteers to help the day of the event and corporate sponsorships.
