GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Is your inner cowgirl waiting to break away? Then grab your cowboy hat and spurs and head 'em on up to the Iron Cowgirl Competition in Wisconsin September 5 through September 7.

Iron Cowgirl is a high-energy competition that will test entrants' strength, athleticism, courage and skills as a horsewoman. Iron Cowgirl is open to all ages. Competitors will pick from a series of events that would be found on a ranch or a farm. Competitors may compete in multiple events, with points awarded to the top eight places in each event. There will be $15,000 in cash prizes up for grabs to the top 5 finishers, with the overall winner for the weekend crowned, "Iron Cowgirl".
Spectators are encouraged to come support the competitors and enjoy the many attractions throughout the weekend including a barn dance, petting zoo, mechanical bull, games, food and drinks.
