Holiday events in the Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS -- Are you in the process of preparing plans for the weekend? If you are looking for holiday related activities we have a few ideas to get you started.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train rolls into St. Paul's Union Depot Friday night at 6:45 p.m. It will also be in Loretto Saturday evening.

On Saturday morning, the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis is hosting its annual breakfast buffet with Santa. It starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. The Hilton, 1001 Marquette Ave. S. will have stations for children to decorate cookies, arts and crafts plus a reindeer toss. Coupled with photo opportunities with Santa, a Hilton spokesperson said they will offer prizes.

The fee is $5.95 for children 5 years old and under. It is $12.95 for kids between the ages of six and 12. Tickets are $19.95 for adults.

On Saturday, the doors at Norway House will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Inside, the Gingerbread Wonderland. The exhibit runs through January. It features key buildings that make up the Twin Cities.
